Neil Young (* 12. November 1945 in Toronto, Ontario) ist ein kanadischer Rock- und Folkmusiker, der mit seiner Band Crazy Horse, aber auch als Solokünstler und mit vielen anderen Bands und Künstlern auftritt. Zu seinen populärsten Titeln gehören The Needle and the Damage Done, Heart of Gold, Cinnamon Girl, Sugar Mountain, Like a Hurricane, Hey Hey, My My, und Rockin' in the Free World. Youngs Karriere begann 1966 mit der Band Buffalo Springfield und dauert bis heute an. 1969 war er Teilnehmer beim Woodstock Festival zusammen mit Crosby, Stills & Nash.
